Miniature Walnut and Chrome Hourglass Sand Timer

Miniature Walnut and Chrome Hourglass Sand Timer

Made in the iconic mid-century style of the 1960s, this sand timer was meant to be a cooking aid while in the kitchen. It is made of walnut wood, and has three chromed metal legs framing its central glass vessel.  The base still bears its original sticker which states the item’s country of manufacture. Its small stature allows it to be portable for tasks anywhere in the home, and can be used to time shorter spans. Such mini timers were common in the 1950s-1970s and are just as decorative as they are helpful.
