Pre-1940 Van Briggle Melon Creamer

Pre-1940 Van Briggle Melon Creamer

This creamer pitcher is bulbous in form, mimicking its namesake. It boasts a matte glaze, which was en vogue for American fine art pottery at the time. All Van Briggle pottery was hand-painted by an individual artist, so each piece’s coloring is subtly unique. Its base is marked with the Van Briggle signature trademark of a boxed double-A as well as the standard location marking of Colorado Springs.
