1948 Roseville Wincraft Tea Set

1948 Roseville Wincraft Tea Set

This tea set is from the Wincraft mold by Roseville, produced in 1948 after World War II, with a form that looked forward toward the mid-century modern movement. Around 50 item types were made in this floral themed pattern. The components of this set boast high-gloss glazing, which was stood apart from other American fine art pottery of the time. Just like all authentic Roseville pieces, these were hand-painted by an individual artist. The coloring is primarily a cool blue, with speckled top-glazing of blush and lavender tones. The Roseville maker’s mark is visible on each piece:“271P”, “271S” and “271C”. For a bit more about Roseville pottery, click here.
