1940-1943 Roseville Magnolia Candlestick Holders

The Magnolia pattern by Roseville was introduced in 1940, and was in production through the early 1940s. In total, the Magnolia Pattern includes over 60 pottery molds, meaning there are over 60 item types bearing the pattern. The pattern comes in deep green, teal blue and this color, officially known by collectors as terra cotta. The glazing is primarily a warm peach-to-olive with touches of other color to emphasize the blooms and branches that span both pieces. Roseville’s maker’s mark is visible, and below it reads “1157-4.5”, indicating the type of item within the Magnolia pattern (1157) and the height of the item in inches (4.5).
