Custom Brutalist 14k Lapis Lazuli Navette Style English-Made Ring

Custom Brutalist 14k Lapis Lazuli Navette Style English-Made Ring

Custom made in England during the 1970s, this Brutalist style ring is 14k gold plate over an alloy. The ring’s shape resembles the navette manor that first grew to popularity during the Edwardian and Art Deco periods. Yet, the way that the gold is formed is, well, brutal, as is the namesake of Brutalism. The gold is made to appear almost molten, frozen mid-forging, and organic. The double stone aesthetic also harkens to the aforementioned eras, though they are set within the golden arms of the ring without the look of traditional prongs.

This ring was sourced from a very high end Dallas, Texas estate along with many other fine jewelry items. The former owner traveled often to Europe and Asia, and had many custom designs created during her travels. Upon sale of this ring to Revival Studio Co., we were informed that this was one such ring, and that the two stones were lapis lazuli. The interior of the band is stamped with 14k PT, has been resized at one point, has wear to the gold plate that is expected with age and is weighty with its abundance of material. We believe the stones are imitation lapis, are highly polished, perfectly round, and stand out brightly against their golden backdrop.

Style with your evening best for any formal or festive occasion or gift to someone who melts at the sight of cobalt. Wear as an unexpected punch of color as your ‘something blue’, or add to your collection of boho inspired jewelry. This custom ring is singular in kind and just as unique and bold as you are.
