Vintage Brass and Glass Pentagon Jewelry Casket

Vintage Brass and Glass Pentagon Jewelry Casket

This modern hinged dish, though airy and open, has subtle Brutalist undertones in its angularity and geometries. There are a total of eleven glass panes, each encased in brass. The base rests on five brass spheres, each at the intersection of the glass panes. The attached lid is hinged and has a brass spherical knob, upon which the weight of the lid rests when fully open. This piece is sculptural alone, serves as a roomy jewelry casket, or is the mod terrarium you’ve been searching for.
