Locking Farrington Leather Jewelry Box with Original Key

Locking Farrington Leather Jewelry Box with Original Key

Embossed jewelry boxes are icons of 1950s nostalgia, and have had a resurgence in popularity once again. Most affordable jewelry boxes from this period were made with Texol, a faux leather, which Farrington Manufacturing Company patented in 1950. However, this box is unique in that it is made with genuine leather, dyed a deep maroon with gilt embossing on the exterior. Its interior is lined with a floral silk and blush velvet. It has four storage areas and two padded ring holders, and one hinged tray. The jewelry box’s original brass key accompanies it, and is adorned with a delicate pink ribbon. This beautiful, feminine box is in lovely functioning condition.
