Hand-carved Burled Dogwood Bowl

Hand-carved Burled Dogwood Bowl

This handcrafted bowl has a unique silhouette and features the darkened linework only burled wood can produce. It rests on four delicately carved feet and has has traces of bark from the dogwood tree from which it was carved. It’s spherical body and angled upper rim is separated by a fine beveling, and the entirety of the bowl is sanded smooth.

This bowl was carved by an amateur artist and collected awards in the Sevier County’s 9th Annual Juried Art Exhibition.
